Indulgent Creme Egg Brownies

I’m not going to beat around the bush. These brownies are indulgent, and rich. But delicious! I usually only make them when we have guests or if I’m taking them to a gathering - as Mikey and I would struggle to get through these on our own.

Recipe

  1. Heat the oven to 180°C fan. Add the butter and dark chocolate to a heatproof bowl, rested to the top of a pot of simmering water, stirring continuously until everything’s melted. Be careful not to burn the chocolate (you’ll know). Whilst the chocolate’s melting, beat your eggs until frothy.

  2. Once the chocolate has melted, stir in the caster sugar until combined. Add the frothy eggs to the mixture, along with the cocoa powder, flour and salt, and mix gently until combined.

  3. Butter an ovenproof dish, pour in the mixture and spread evenly, before pressing in the halved cream eggs throughout the mixture. Bake for 40 minutes or until cooked through, leave to cool, slice & serve. Enjoy!
